In November 2002, the second phase of this ministry’s transformation process began with the launch of the "Canada is Calling Summon". Leaders from across the country gathered at the Crossroads Centre in Burlington, ON to sign the Crossroads Declaration. This historic document laid the foundation for facilitating and encouraging a concert of PROCLAMATION from coast to coast to coast over the coming years.
As a result of this declaration, The Proclaiming Jesus Tour was birthed. This evangelistic vehicle promises to minister to those who have not been reached by the good news of Jesus Christ through a unique, spirit-filled delivery. Please pray as we continue to take steps of faith into the demon-possessed valley of unbelief in Canada and fulfill our commitment as laid out in the Declaration.
The Proclaiming Jesus Tour
CIP is committed to introducing and re-introducing Canadians to Jesus Christ, and serving the local church by assisting in the development of prayer-driven evangelism to impact their community with the gospel.
Introduction:
The Proclaiming Jesus Tour is a UNIQUELY CANADIAN presentation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
We work in PARTNERSHIP with local churches and para-church organizations to host evening events that present this life-giving message to a specific region through multi-media, music, testimonials, prayer and preaching.
Our Mission:
- To provide a Preparing for the Harvest Seminar that prepares churches to pray strategically, in their communities, for the harvest
- To visit Canadian communities from British Columbia to Newfoundland and the Northern Territories with the Proclaiming Jesus Tour
- To link Canadians in prayer for a specific goal – to increase the number of born again, Bible believing Christians in Canada
The Main Event
One of the most innovative and effective evangelism tools CIP has adopted is The Main Event, a crusade utilizing Christian Professional Wrestlers such as “The Million Dollar Man”, Rick Steiner, and many others. The presentation features 4 actual wrestling matches, followed by a live dramatization of the crucifixion of Christ, and powerful testimonies shared by the wrestlers. Thousands have been brought into the kingdom through this revolutionary outreach.
CIP hosted our second evangelistic crusade featuring The Main Event on April 16, 2004 in North Bay, Ontario at the North Bay Memorial Gardens Sports Arena. More than 500 souls came into the kingdom that evening! Our third event was hosted by Toronto Airport Christian Fellowship in March 2005, and again saw hundreds receive salvation.
