Sep 2009: Prayer Guide

“Declare God’s Word Over Canada, and Believe that it will not return void!”

It’s a new season, and we are going after the harvest with a greater tenacity than ever before!

Proverbs 18:21 tells us that, “Death and Life are in the power of the tongue, and they who indulge in it shall eat the fruit of it.” Our tongues are powerful, and God has given us the incredible privilege, and authority, to speak life over our lives, families, cities, regions and our nation, and in turn reap a harvest from the things that we have spoken. We believe that Almighty God will move mightily across Canada as we partner together in the power of corporate agreement.

The key in declaring each word or phrase from this month’s Prayer Guide is to combine your words with faith! Meditate on each verse and absorb it into your heart and spirit, and BELIEVE that what you are confessing and declaring will come to pass. In doing so, it will ignite your prayer life so that when you are praying it will come out of your mouth like a two-edged sword and change the spiritual atmosphere over churches, ministries, leaders, pastors, intercessors, believers, cities, regions, the lost and Canada!

We have started off the first week praying for our youth because they are the next leaders in our nation, and many prayer requests have come in from believers who testify that God has laid a burden on their heart to pray for our youth. In the weeks to follow, we will focus our attention on the west coast, the east coast, the northern territories and Canada on a whole. Pray as the spirit leads you, keeping in mind that you are praying for the body of Christ across Canada, and for the lost to come to a personal knowledge of Jesus Christ and be saved.

Together, let’s declare AND believe that God’s truth and life will change the spiritual climate over our nation, and that God will bring salvation to those who are perishing.

Part 1 – For the Youth of the Nation

  • Sept. 1

Declare & Believe: that many youth will “RETURN” to God.

“I will build them up and not tear them down. I will plant them and not uproot them. I will give them hearts that will recognize me as the Lord. They will be my people, and I will be their God, for they will return to me wholeheartedly.” (Jeremiah 24:6–7)“Better is one day in your courts than a thousand elsewhere; I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of the wicked.” (Psalm 84:10)

  • Sept. 2

Declare & Believe God for: “SALVATION”

The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.” (2 Peter 3:9) “…believe on the Lord Jesus and you will be saved, along with your entire household.” (Acts 16:31)

  • Sept. 3

Declare & Believe God for: “HEALING”

For this people's heart has become calloused; they hardly hear with their ears, and they have closed their eyes. Otherwise they might see with their eyes, hear with their ears, understand with their hearts and turn, and I would heal them.” (Acts 28:27) “But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed.” (Isaiah 53:5)

  • Sept. 4

Declare & Believe: that many youth will “SURRENDER” their lives to Christ.

“Yes, everything else is worthless when compared with the infinite value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have discarded everything else, counting it all as garbage, so that I could gain Christ.” (Philippians 3:8) “Then Jesus answered, "Will you really lay down your life for me?” (John 13:38)

  • Sept. 5

Declare & Believe God for: “WISDOM”

“Flee the evil desires of youth, and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace, along with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart.” (2 Timothy 2:22) “If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him.” (James 1:5)

Part 2 – For the Western Provinces of Canada

  • Sept. 6

Declare & Believe God for: “Unity” among believers, churches and ministries in the west. “How good and pleasant it is when brothers live together in unity! It is like precious oil poured on the head, running down on the beard, running down on Aaron’s beard, down upon the collar of his robes. It is as if the dew of Hermon were falling on Mount Zion. For there the Lord bestows his blessing, even life forevermore.” (Psalm 133:1-3)

  • Sept. 7

Declare & Believe God: for many “Worshippers to Rise Up” and make the name of Jesus famous. “Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks.” (John 4:23) “But I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all men to myself." (John 12:32)

  • Sept. 8

Declare & Believe God for: “Freedom” over British Columbia So Jesus said to those Jews who had believed in Him, If you abide in My word [hold fast to My teachings and live in accordance with them], you are truly My disciples. And you will know the Truth, and the Truth will set you free…So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.” (John 8:32, 36 AMP)

  • Sept. 9

Declare & Believe God for: “Wisdom” over Alberta. “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom; all who follow his precepts have good understanding. To him belongs eternal praise.” (Psalm 111:10)

  • Sept. 10

Declare & Believe God for: “Increase” over Saskatchewan. “May the LORD make you increase, both you and your children.” (Psalm 115:14) “Our barns will be filled with every kind of provision. Our sheep will increase by thousands, by tens of thousands in our fields;” (Psalm 144:13)

  • Sept. 11

Declare & Believe God for: “Peace” over Manitoba. “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid…I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world." (John 14:27, John 16:33) “I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven." (Matthew 16:19)

  • Sept. 12

Declare & Believe God for: “Salvation” in the west. “He went into all the country around the Jordan, preaching a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins. As is written in the book of the words of Isaiah the prophet: "A voice of one calling in the desert, 'Prepare the way for the Lord, make straight paths for him. Every valley shall be filled in, every mountain and hill made low. The crooked roads shall become straight, the rough ways smooth. And all mankind will see God's salvation. " (Luke 3:3-6)

Part 3 – For Central & Eastern Canada

  • Sept. 13

Declare & Believe God for: “Unity". May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you a spirit of unity among yourselves as you follow Christ Jesus…But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.” (Romans 15:5, 1 Peter 2:9)

  • Sept. 14

Declare & Believe God for: “Righteousness” over the lost in Quebec. “But now a righteousness from God, apart from law, has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify. This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.” (Romans 3:21-24)

  • Sept. 15

Declare & Believe God for: “Peace” over churches in Prince Edward Island. “Then the church throughout Judea, Galilee and Samaria enjoyed a time of peace. It was strengthened; and encouraged by the Holy Spirit, it grew in numbers, living in the fear of the Lord…You know the message God sent to the people of Israel, telling the good news of peace through Jesus Christ, who is Lord of all.” (Acts 9:31, 10:36)

  • Sept. 16

Declare & Believe God for: “Joy” in believers living in New Brunswick. “You have made known to me the paths of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence…"I am coming to you now, but I say these things while I am still in the world, so that they may have the full measure of my joy within them.” (Acts 2:28, John 17:13)

  • Sept. 17

Declare & Believe God for: “Faith” to rise up in the hearts of believers living in Nova Scotia. “So faith comes from hearing, that is, hearing the Good News about Christ.” (Romans 10:17) “And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.” (Hebrews 11:6) As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead. (James 2:26)

  • Sept. 18

  • Sept. 19

Declare & Believe God for: “Purity” over Ontario. “The fear of the LORD is pure, enduring forever…Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me…Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.” (Psalm 19:9, 51:10, Matthew 5:8) “Make every effort to live in peace with all men and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord.” (Hebrews 12:14)

Part 4 – For the Northern Parts of Canada

  • Sept. 20

Declare & Believer God for: “Unity”.

  • Sept. 21

  • Sept. 24

Declare & Believe God for: “More Workers in the Fields”. “Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness. When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. Then he said to his disciples, "The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. 38Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field." (Matthew 9:35-37)

  • Sept. 25

Declare & Believe God for: “Healing”. “But for you who revere my name, the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its wings. And you will go out and leap like calves released from the stall.” (Malachi 4:2) " “Nevertheless, I will bring health and healing to it; I will heal my people and will let them enjoy abundant peace and security. Canada at a Glance

God is continuing to pour out His Spirit upon an urban mission in Toronto.   13 street men requested bibles! A Turkish Muslim, a Jewish man and a young man from Columbia gave their lives to the Lord.  A girl was healed of pink eye, and a woman reported her cancer is gone after receiving prayer!  God will deliver us when we call upon His name!
